Near as I can figure, this is an institution that's been in effect for some time, so to attribute it entirelly to the great satan that is the Bush administration strikes me as innacurate and inflamatory.

He's right though. This isn't exactly a new idea, that the universe is really made up of a huge mess of self interacting information is about as old as the idea of matter itself. It's just now we have a physical object, the computer, to form a subject for our metaphor.

I have to concur. Blogging is nice, but it doesn't and should not replace traditional journalism. There is room and a need for both.

This is wonderful news, but as Vincent Grayson brought up, the key is going to be in getting the go ahead for third party games as well.

Right. We have one branch of the government spying on civilians, refusing any sort of oversight, and keeping all other departments in the dark about it's actions. And it claims that all this is perfectly legal and in keeping with the spirit of the Constitution.
